Screendoor is a personal CRM that helps you keep in touch with the people you know. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to run your account and keep your contacts:

  • Account details. Your email address and a hashed password, or the sign-in links you request instead of a password.
  • Contact records. The people you add, including any name, email, phone number, company, role, location, birthday, photo, tags, and notes you record about them.
  • Interactions. The calls, meetings, meals, messages, and notes you log, with their dates and your summaries.
  • Profile. Optional details such as an avatar, a home location, and your notification and appearance preferences.
  • Technical data. Basic session information such as your IP address and browser, kept to keep your account secure.

Information about other people

Your contact records describe people who are not Screendoor users and who have not agreed to this policy. You decide what to record about them, and you are responsible for handling it appropriately. You can delete any contact, and everything logged about them, at any time.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Store your contacts and the interactions you log with them.
  • Work out who you are due to reach out to, and remind you.
  • Send you the notifications and sign-in messages you ask for.
  • Keep your account secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your contacts to advertise to you.

Service providers

We share information with a small set of providers that make the service work, including an email delivery provider that sends mail on our behalf and a geocoding provider that resolves the locations you enter. These providers may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Retention

We keep your account and contact data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a contact, an interaction, or your account, the associated data is removed from the app. Some records may persist briefly in backups before they expire.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete any contact, interaction, note, or tag at any time.
  • Choose which reminders reach you, and on which channel, in your settings.
  • Delete your account, which removes your contacts from the app.
